Fondazione Caritas Salerno, L'Associazione L'Abbraccio ODV, L’associazione di volontariato OASI

The Caritas Salerno Foundation is governed by its own statute and pursues primarily religious and worshipful purposes, accepting the indications that the Diocese of Salerno proposes through the pastoral body of the Diocesan Caritas pastoral office, strengthening, through the most appropriate tools for the times and through project actions the promotion of the witness of charity in the Italian ecclesial community, with a view to the integral development of man, social justice and peace, with particular attention to the last ones and with a prevailing pedagogical function, tending to make the Christian sense of Charity grow in individuals, families and communities.

The L'Abbraccio ODV Association was founded in Salerno in 2005 by a group of operators with more than ten years' experience in the Human Project, an intervention conceived by the Italian Solidarity Centre founded by Don Mario Picchi. Since its inception it has been committed, and continues to do so, in supporting the most fragile groups in the community, be they adults or minors, especially in situations of social, economic and relational difficulties.

The voluntary association OASI was founded in 1982 in Salerno, in the Christian Community of the Parish of the Holy Face in Pastena. In the wake of the Evangelical message, the association promotes dialogue, acceptance, solidarity and justice, in support of people in difficulty. With initiatives of denunciation, counter-information and with the style of testimony, OASI tries to stimulate the sensitivity of citizens and institutions so that, as a community, we act on the causes of poverty and social injustice.
