Airalzh Onlus

Airalzh Onlus (Italian Association for Alzheimer's Research) is the only association promoting and supporting Alzheimer’s medical and scientific research as well as other forms of dementia through a network of young researchers working in 25 excellency centres throughout Italy.

In Italy only over 1,400,000 people suffer from dementia, 600,000 of which are affected by Alzheimer’s. Unfortunately there is no treatment as of yet to modify such a complex disease’s development, therefore why such importance is placed on the basic research.

Airalzh’s main purpose is to raise public awareness of the disease, increase the treatment levels currently available and contribute to the discovery of new therapies.
