Fondazione AIRC per la ricerca sul cancro
Since 1965, the AIRC Foundation has been continuously supporting independent cancer research with the goal of transforming scientific discoveries into effective treatments. Through a rigorous and transparent selection process, AIRC funds the most promising ideas from experienced researchers and young talents at every stage of their careers.
Over the past six decades, AIRC has allocated approximately 2.5 billion euros to thousands of research projects, currently supporting the work of around 5,400 researchers across 96 predominantly public institutes in Italy. A community of 4.5 million supporters, 20,000 volunteers, and 17 regional committees and offices ensures a widespread presence across the country.
AIRC also promotes a culture of prevention and disseminates research findings in schools, universities, businesses, and through media channels.
Let’s face cancer. Together.
