AMOPUGLIA ODV-ETS

Amopuglia ODV-ETS (Associazione Malati Oncologici Puglia), established on May 15, 2009, is nonprofit, apolitical, nonpartisan and secular, and aims to provide free home care to patients suffering from advanced cancer diseases, with adequately trained and paid doctors and nurses. The medical-nursing staff not only administers therapies, but also offers the patient and his family the support, with experts in psycho-oncology, needed to overcome the most delicate phase of the disease.

Amopuglia operates in the districts of Lecce, Galatina, Campi Salentina, Martano, Nardò and Maglie.

The free services provided at home by the medical-nursing team are:

  • Pain therapy
  • Dressings
  • Phleboclysis
  • Hemotransfusions
  • Withdrawals for laboratory analysis
  • Implants of bladder catheters
  • Parenteral feeding
  • Paracentesis
  • Thoracentesis

The Association is sustained mainly by free contributions, memorial contributions, solidarity from companies, banks and other entities, 5x1000, fundraising from: Tournament Organization, Theater Performances, Dinners, Raffles, Panettone and Pandoro Campaign, Easter Eggs Campaign, and other activities.
