Associazione Provinciale LILT Ferrara

The Ferrara Provincial Association of the Italian League for the Fight against Cancer is a
private, APS, whose fundamental commitment is to invest in health, knowing that prevention can
result in a significant reduction in cancer mortality.

Detection of cancer at an early stage allows less aggressive surgical therapies with greater
chances of cure. It, today, constitutes the winning weapon in the fight against cancer that can be
cured in most cases diagnosed early.

The LILT Ferrara Provincial Association promotes:

- primary prevention in an interdisciplinary way (nutritional, motor and psychological aspects), particularly
particular in schools but also to the general population (assemblies, conventions,
conferences);
- secondary prevention with screening activities aimed at the general population, thanks to
national and/or regional projects with major companies such as CREDEM, HERA, COOP
ALLEANCE 3.0 and free of charge during pink month and blue month;
- tertiary prevention with informative and motivational paths - learning to take care of oneself
- aimed at women who have experienced breast cancer, in order to improve the quality of life and
facilitate reintegration into family, work and society.
