Caritas Ambrosiana Onlus

Caritas Ambrosiana is an office of the Archiepiscopal Curia of the Diocese of Milan called the Office for the Pastoral Care of Charity - Caritas Ambrosiana, within the Sector for Mission and Charity.

The proceeds from the auction promoted by Eataly Milano Smeraldo in collaboration with Illustri and Kartell will be donated to the Refettorio Ambrosiano in Milan, a place where solidarity and art meet in the belief that beauty, in all its forms, can become a tool to recognize the profound dignity of the individual.

Managed by Caritas Ambrosiana and a pilot project of Food for Soul, the ONLUS of Chef Massimo Bottura, Refettorio Ambrosiano is a canteen for the disadvantaged that serves quality meals starting from the recovery of food surpluses, in a welcoming place curated by architects, designers, artists and design houses to ensure that the meal is a moment of restoration not only for the body, but also for the soul.
