Charterhouse is a wonderful school with four centuries of history behind it, but also one that is committed to being at the forefront of educational progress in the twenty-first century.

The school and its pupils enjoy an extraordinary range - academic, pastoral, sporting, musical, and artistic strengths, yet we continue to look to the future. The Headmaster and Governors are leading the development of new plans which will further enhance the quality of education we can provide and reinforce Charterhouse’s reputation as one of the world’s great schools.

Our current priorities are the creation of a new Science and Mathematics Centre and the awarding of Bursaries to outstanding individuals. The support of OCs, parents and friends remain critically important in enabling us to realise these ambitions, ensuring that current and future Carthusians receive an education of unsurpassed quality.
