FAI SWISS

In 2012, FAI SWISS, a foundation under Swiss law, was established with headquarters in Lugano.

FAI SWISS was established with the aim of strengthening the ties between Switzerland and Italy on the basis of a common cultural heritage and to promote membership in FAI - Fondo Ambiente Italiano by disseminating its philosophy: to protect and enhance, to educate and raise awareness, to supervise and intervene.
This is a wide-ranging project, projected into the future, to offer Switzerland and Italy a new, stable cultural reference point of international standing.
FAI SWISS carries out its activities thanks to a committee of volunteers who offer their work for free. Each year FAI SWISS organizes a series of cultural events and visits to properties of special artistic, natural and social interest in Italy and Switzerland, as well as conferences and seminars on the same themes.
The work of FAI SWISS is rooted in the local area with the aim of transmitting its philosophy to the local community, with a special focus on young people and school children. In its activities, FAI SWISS maintains collaborative relationships with all the main artistic and cultural entities in the territory, museums, cultural associations and foundations with similar objectives.
FAI SWISS's collection is divided annually between support for FAI properties in Italy and projects consonant with FAI's philosophy on Swiss territory.
