Komen Italia has been active for 25 years in the fight against breast cancer throughout the country thanks to its 7 Regional Committees and collaboration with a vast network of "friend associations" in more than 100 cities.

Thanks to the passion and commitment of a dedicated staff and more than 2,000 volunteers and the support of many partners and representatives from the world of institutions, culture, sports, entertainment and communication, Komen Italia has been able to, among other things:

- Award study prizes to 277 young researchers

- Launch 65 multi-year projects to support women experiencing breast cancer

- Support financially the projects of 307 associations

- Establish 2 new clinical and educational spaces, the "Komen Italia Center for Integrated Therapies in Oncology" at the Policlinico Gemelli in Rome and the multipurpose space "Women at the Center" at the Bellaria Hospital in Bologna, to promote a medicine that takes holistic care of the sick person and not only of the disease
