Parkside School

From September Parkside will be introducing Food Technology into the curriculum. This will be delivered by converting one of the science laboratories
into a fully equipped facility. This will enable the new room to still be used for science lessons whilst the other lab will continue to be used for practical work.

FoP are hoping to raise £25,000 from the Summer Ball to fund this innovative project. The money will be used to cover the cost of the work needed to transform the room and to install the appliances and infrastructure.

There will be 6 ovens in total (3 on each side) to accommodate a class of up to 12 boys. Included in this design is a fridge and even a dishwasher! The centre of the room will have tables for the boys to prepare food and by each table there will be storage units for equipment.

We are looking to re-design the whole room with new units, appliances, tables and stools to create a fantastic new facility for the School. Fundraising will make this happen and all boys from Pre-Prep to Year 8 will benefit hugely over the coming years.
