Stay Recruited
Stay Recruited was founded in 2013 by retired NFL Player, Reggie Rusk who saw a need to better support future athletes. Stay Recruited founder began going to local schools and speaking to athletes and their parents during athletic coaches time slots. The more and more these professional athletes engaged with students the more indicators they found that student athletes clearly needed a higher level of support.
The mission of this organization is to promote and facilitate educational literacy, youth development, and any other activities that positively contribute to furthering the success of young athletes. Stay Recruited employs the skills of professional athletes to challenge the physical and mental capacity of student athletes. As young athletes develop the physical stamina to excel in the sports arena their emotional and social skills become secondary concerns and can go under-developed. In many instances this leaves students and professional athletes vulnerable to the commitments and expectations of college programs and professional team dynamics.
Stay Recruited is a tried and true program of strength building; it takes the capabilities of athletes current emotional and life skills state and builds upon it with positive influences, educational literacy enhancements, financial literacy and life skills through mentoring and sports training necessary to support their full successful growth in their arena.
The Stay Recruited organization is a non-profit 501(c)3 established by athletes for athletes. The organization reaches back into desperate communities and at-risk schools to utilize sports coaching and life skills information as a power.
