The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace
The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace is a charity that campaigns only for one thing ... Peace.
That is to say that conflict is inevitable, but using violence is not. The Foundation for Peace was founded by the parents of 12-year old Tim Parry and supported by the parents of three year old Johnathan Ball. Tim and Johnathan were tragically killed as a direct result of the IRA’s bombing of Warrington in March 1993. The Foundation has developed over a further 14 years and is independent and funded as a charity.
They do not take sides, they are not aligned to any conflict, they are not faith or political based and they do not pursue causes such as justice or truth. There is no other organisation that takes such a stance.
The Foundation works nationally to support those affected by terrorism and conflict. With over 20 years of experience, they believe that addressing the causes of violence before, during and after conflict situations is the most effective way possible to promote peace. Their projects and programmes work within three main areas; prevention, resolution and response.
