Variety, the Children's Charity
Variety, the Children’s Charity, believes that neither disability nor disadvantage should prevent any child or young person from realising their full potential. Our support allows children to gain mobility, get out and about in the community, communicate, learn, play, achieve more independence and develop greater self-esteem.
The pandemic has had a devastating impact on disabled and disadvantaged children across the UK. Many more children are now living in poverty, while the loss of support services has taken a severe toll.
Here at Variety, we have seen the demand for our services soar. At the same time, with live fundraising events now cancelled, our income streams have dwindled, leaving us struggling to help the vulnerable children we work with.
Can you help us change young lives? Whatever support you can afford to offer will be much appreciated. Even the smallest donation will make a difference.
£10 could give a disadvantaged child a memorable outing to the seaside, the circus or the zoo, once social restrictions are lifted.
£20 could fund a harness to provide postural support for a disabled child.
£50 could help us provide sensory equipment for a child with learning disabilities.
£1,000 could fund a specialist car seat to keep a disabled child safe and comfortable.
£5,000 could allow us to purchase a powered wheelchair for a disabled child, allowing them to a live a more independent life.
