Bibliophile walk in St James's and tea for 4 people at the Athenaeum Club

Come for a walking tour in St James's, led by Anthony Davis MA FSA of Booksteps London Walks (www.Booksteps.co.uk). Anthony is a fellow-Stationer who is a distinguished bibliographer and architectural historian as well as a qualified guide who gives walking tours in London for people who love books.  You will  hear about some of the colourful literary figures who have frequented St James's and the history of this fashionable area.  See among other places where Samuel Pepys set his wig alight, where Doctor Johnson slept rough and the house of the first sexologist.  You will finish at the Athenaeum Club where Anthony will treat the successful bidder to tea for up to four people.

The walk will last about an hour and will take place at a mutually agreed time.  Please note that you will need to be reasonably active physically, and that the club has a dress code and minimum age of 14 years old.  Further details to be provided in due course.
