Enjoy lunch, wine and a tour at the Antinori Chianti Classico Winery

Entering into the Antinori winery in Chianti Classico means to become a part of an adventure which winds you through six centuries of history of the Antinori family and their passion in producing wine.  A path that is, at the same time, historical and emotional, technical and architectural, and culminating in a tasting their wines. 

This auction is for a private visit for four people to the beautiful Antinori Chianti Classico Winery estate. Included in the visit is wine tasting and lunch at the ‘Rinuccio 1180’ restaurant. Also included is a private tour of the Tignanello Estate and the Badia di Passignano, the Abbey. The 861-acre Tignanello estate is famed for its Tignanello and Solaia vineyards, the grapes used to produce the critically acclaimed “Super Tuscan” wines. Tignanello has been in the Antinori family since the mid-1800s and is built upon the foundations of an estate that dates to 1346. The Abbey of Passignano), located in the Chianti Classico region, is an ancient monastery dating back to 395, when it was established by the archbishop of Florence. Today it is still inhabited by monks of the Vallombrosian Order, who remain the guardians of their cultural and historical treasures.

Bidding Conditions: This auction allows the user with the highest bid at the end of the online auction to obtain the right to participate by proxy at the Wine to Water gala on the 30 November 2015, where the item will be auctioned. The highest bidder from the live auction will be deemed the auction winner. The highest online bidder may give permission for CharityStars to bid on their behalf, up to a maximum amount which will have been set by the user. More information on how to bid will be given to the highest online bidder when the online auction has closed.

Notes: This auction has a reserve price, if the reserve is not met the auction will not be sold. To book your experience, please follow the instructions on the voucher provided at least two months before the date of the arrival. The date of the experience is subject to availability. Expiration date of the voucher: November 30 2016. Antinori’s Tignanello Estate is located between the Greve and Pesa Valleys in the heart of the Chianti Classico area, Tuscany, Italy. It is a 30mins drive south from Florence.
