Enjoy the holiday of a lifetime for two to Southern India.
This nine-day trip for two people takes in three different locations, including a visit to a Street Child project as well as the chance to see of the most famous tourist destinations in the south.
Three days and nights staying with Paul, the founder & CEO of the Street Child charity in Chennai, visiting their programs. Breakfast & lunch are included, and day trip to the beach and the 7th century carvings at Mahabalipuram.
Next, you will travel by night train to Mettupalayam and take the famous Nilgiri mountain steam train to Ooty, the beautiful hill town favoured by the colonial Brits. You will enjoy a three day/night stay at Smyrna Guest House, a heritage property in Ooty where you will be provided with your own driver and car.
Your driver will take you through the Bandipur National Park to Mysore, famous for its golden palace. On your drive through the park you will be able to spot deer, elephants and a huge variety of birds. If you are lucky you might just see some leopards and tigers, too.
Your driver will leave you at Royal Orchid Metropole, a 5-star heritage hotel in Mysore, where you will enjoy a 2-night bed & breakfast stay and 2 days jumping in a tuk tuk to visit the nearby palace and other famous temples, palaces and markets.
From Mysore it’s a 3 hour drive to Bangalore where you can catch a flight to the UK or to your next destination in India.

- This is a flexible holiday – you can combine it with other places and it is valid up to the end of 2023
- Experience includes all accommodation and a driver in Chennai & Ooty (including airport and train station transfers) and meals as stated
- If you wish to go in December or during the Mysore Dasara festival in early October, there would be a premium
