The Canadian artist born on August 16, 1934 has made the history of photography, immortalizing more than 600 great celebrities. Over the course of her long career she has also been a "special photographer" on the set of over 150 films. Among these are iconic titles such as The Sound of Music, Titanic, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Moulin Rouge.

Her career began when she was 24. She was hired as a photographer for Look magazine and became famous thanks to her 1961 photographs of Marilyn Monroe. Subsequently, she began working for Life Magazine. Her work projects in the 1960s and 1970s ranged from fashion to cinema.

Over the course of her career she photographed many celebrities. In addition to Monroe, she has shot Audrey Hepburn, Mick Jagger, Sting, Orson Welles, Andy Warhol, Leonardo DiCaprio, Marlene Dietrich, Coco Chanel, as well as Judy Garland, Sophia Loren, Michael Jackson, Charlie Chaplin and Brigitte Bardot.
