Paddle tennis is a sport played on a court with racket and ball.
A few important rules characterize paddle tennis: the most unusual is the fact that the walls surrounding the court are part of the playing area so if the ball bounces off these walls it can be played on.
The court is 20 m long and 10 m wide with a boundary wall that is 3 m high. The batter must serve into the space diagonally opposite to the opponent's batting area and must bounce the ball on the ground before hitting it. Players can hit the ball back with or without a first bounce or they can bounce it off the wall of their own half of court so that it goes over the net towards the opponent's half of the court. The ball cannot touch the wall delimiting the opponent's half. There are two professional forms of play: individual and double.
