Alan Shearer is England's all time Premier League top goalscorer with 260 goals, earning 63 caps and scored 30 goals for the Three Lion.
The 1996/97 season was Alan Shearer’s first with Newcastle having transferred from Blackburn during that Summer. Shearer would go on to score 25 goals in just 31 matches during that season. This earned him the Premier League Golden Boot for a third successive season. Shearer is a genuine Newcastle legend having played 303 league games for the club and scored 148 goals during these. In the Premier League, Newcastle finished second to Manchester United for a second consecutive season.
Shearer ended his professional career in 2006. After his retirement Shearer has worked as pundit, and he was interim manager of Newcastle during the last two months of the 2008/09 – a season which saw Newcastle relegated. This has of course not tarnished Shearer’s status at Newcastle or the national team. Now you can own a piece of English football history with this Alan Shearer England Match shirt.
