Sergio Asenjo Andrés (born 28 June 1989 in Palencia) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Real Valladolid. Raised in Valladolid, in the summer of 2009 he moved to Atletico Madrid where he won a Spanish Cup, two Europa Leagues and two European Super Cups. In between there was a six-month loan to Malaga. After his experience at Madrid, he played from 2013 to 2022 at Villarreal, where he won a third Europa League. Since last season he has returned to Real Valladolid.
