Gordon Banks OBE (30 December 1937 – 12 February 2019) was an English professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He made 679 appearances during a 20-year professional career, and won 73 caps for England, highlighted by starting every game of the nation's 1966 World Cup victory.
Peter Leslie Shilton OBE (born 18 September 1949) is an English former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He currently holds the record for playing more games for the England men's team than anyone else, earning 125 caps, and holds the all-time record for the most competitive appearances in world football – 1,390. The IFFHS ranked Shilton among the top ten goalkeepers of the 20th century in 2000.
