Banksy 'Yellow Chopper Wrong War 2003' Placard

This is a stenciled Graffiti painting after Banksy in the colors black, red and yellow acrylic on a very large Recycled Cardboard.

This item can most likely be attributed to the anti-war protests before the Iraq war demonstrations, where posters with various Banksy motifs were presented by the artist and carried by the protesters as a protest. Presumably the panel has been attached to something because it has holes in the cardboard.

Many of these demonstration signs were destroyed or discarded after the demonstration because Banksy was not a famous artist at the time.

About the Artist

Known for his anti-authoritarian art, often done in public places, Banksy is an anonymous graffiti artist who merged graffiti art with installation and performance art.
