Franco Baresi's Italy match shirt from 1989, when he wore the number 4 in several matches, including this friendly against England on 15th November. The match at Wembley Stadium finished 0-0 with Baresi playing the full 90 minutes.
The shirt is size large and in excellent condition for its age. As with player specification shirts of that time, there is no diadora logo on the front in line with FIGC regulations. The material is also thicker, in line with the 'winter shirts' designed for players in that era. The number is in flock and the crest is stitched.
Baresi made over 80 appearances for the Azzurri, 31 of those as captain, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest defenders of all-time.
