Robert Joseph "Bob" Cousy is an American former professional basketball player and coach in the NBA.
Considered one of the best point guards in history, he was one of the league's first stars along with George Mikan, with whom he helped boost his popularity.
Nicknamed Houdini of the Hardwood or simply Cooz, he revolutionised the point guard role with his innovative style of play at a time when NBA basketball was still very slow, unspectacular and revolved mainly around centres.
