This auction is for a special edition of Portofino Dry Gin, created to mark the Ocean Month, entirely hand painted by the artist Sara Stefanini, who has created a work dedicated to the theme of the preservation of the seas and oceans.
This five-liter bottle of Portofino Dry Gin is an artisan gin born resulting from the passion of its founders for the suggestive village of Portofino.
Produced in an ancient Italian distillery, Portofino Dry Gin is made up of 21 different botanicals, carefully selected for their aromatic properties: lemon, juniper, lavender, rosemary, marjoram, sage, iris and rose.
Since 2023, Portofino Dry Gin has been linked to One Ocean Foundation to support its important projects related to the protection of marine ecosystems.
Sara Stefanini was born in Sorengo, Switzerland in 1982. She graduated in multimedia illustration and animation from the IED in Milan in 2006. She currently works as a Graphic Designer and freelance illustrator for Italian and foreign magazines and publishing houses. She was selected for the catalog and exhibition of the international Ilustrarte competition, the illustration biennial of 2016, the exhibition and catalog of the illustration competition of the Bologna fair 2020 and at the exhibition and catalog of CICLA illustration fair in Shanghai.

“The theme of the sea is very dear to me. I thought of the messages in the bottles left floating by the shipwrecked to ask for help, or to tell someone that you love them. I thought this bottle could be used in the same way and carry a message, a warning to remind us all that the fate of the seas is in our hands."
