Brazil match shirt, which was issued for one of the warm-up friendlies prior to the 1994 World Cup in the USA, where the Seleção emerged triumphant.
Unlike the commercial version, the umbro logo and three stars are in flock whilst the umbro diamond at the top of the number font were only produced on the very first batch of Brazil match shirts as FIFA saw it as against sponsorship regulations and insisted plain numbers were used at the tournament.
The shirt was most likely issued to Ronaldo Rodrigues de Jesus, or Ronaldão, a central defender who won a glut of silverware with São Paulo, Flamengo and Santos including two Brazilian championships, the Libertadores and the Club World Cup. Winning 14 caps for the Seleção, he was a last minute replacement at the 1994 World Cup flying in from Japan, where he was playing with Shimizu S-Pulse, on the first day of the tournament.
