The game was played at the Jassim bin Hamad stadium in Doha on December 23, 2016 and saw Milan triumph in a 4-3 win following a penalty shoot out.
Gianluigi Buffon (Carrara, January 28, 1978) is an Italian footballer, goalkeeper and captain of Parma. Considered the best goalkeeper in football history, he was crowned world champion in 2006 with the Italian national team. With the clubs he has won ten Serie A championships, one Serie B, six Italian Cups, seven Italian Super Cups, one UEFA Cup, one Ligue 1 championship and one French Super Cup. He is the player with the most appearances in the history of Serie A. He also holds the record for appearances (176) with the Italian national team.
