This canvas has been painted by the Tigers class at North Bridge House School.

Each year Northbridge House School pupils in the Nursery, Reception, Year One and Year Two classes produce a collaborative canvas with the other children in their class (with a little help from the teachers!). The children are always very excited about this and the school and parents choose charities to benefit from the auction of these.

This year's chosen charities are Shooting Star Chase and The Sebastian Hunter Memorial Trust. Details of the two charities are below. Details of the two charities are below.

The two chosen charities this year are The Sebastian Hunter Memorial Trust and Shooting Star Chase. The Sebastian Hunter Memorial Trust builds schools in Tamil Nadu, India, and helps provide education, healthcare and livelihoods for children and families who would otherwise have none. Shooting Star Chase is a charity offering Children’s Hospice Care. From babies to young people up to the age of 21 they support families from diagnosis to end of life.

The Cause

The Sebastian Hunter Memorial Trust works with some of the poorest communities across South India to eradicate the poverty that affects so many in this country, by empowering young people with education, healthcare and livelihood opportunities on community projects that are truly sustainable. Through our projects, we reach out to those in the tribal hill regions - in centres and rural villages affected by disease, disability, and drought - to empower leaders, build the skills of the next generation, and works towards a poverty-free India.

Over the years, we have been joined in the realisation of our vision by volunteers and partners from across the world, who have helped us build 13 projects in these areas, reaching out to over 5000 people. Amongst these, we work with organisations, such as the Karigiri Leprosy Hospital, helping those affected by this disease to rebuild their lives, MBKG Pannai Orphanage Home, tribal schools in the most remote regions of the Eastern Ghats, and rural schools across the Tamil Nadu region. The charity was set up in 2001 by owner of Belgravia Gallery, Anna Hunter and her family in memory of Anna's son, Sebastian.
