In her rich youth palmarès shines the victory in the junior World Cup - first time for a’azzurrina - in 2010. In 2017, she set the national record in the 10,000 on track (41:57.29) and won the 20 km at the European Cup in Podebrady before taking bronze at the World Championships in London with 1h26:36, the second Italian female ever, improving by more than a minute. Another bronze at the European Championships in Berlin in 2018. She became Italian record holder in the 10 km road race in 2020 with 41:28 in Modena. In 2021 she won the European team event for the second time and in Sapporo the gold medal at the Olympics. In 2023, she came back with second place at the European Team Championships in Podebrady in 1h29:19, while at the World Championships in Budapest, she took bronze in 1h27:26, the second best performance of her career.
