Javier Zanetti, known as "El Pupi," is an Argentine former soccer player who was born on August 10, 1973 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He mainly played in the right-back role but was also successfully used as a defensive midfielder. He is regarded as one of the most iconic and respected players in the history of Inter Milan and world football.

Zanetti's career was mainly linked to Inter, where he played for 19 seasons, becoming team captain and a symbol for the Nerazzurri fans. During his time with Inter, he won numerous trophies, including 5 Italian championships, 4 Italian Cups and a UEFA Champions League in 2010, when Inter completed the famous treble.

In addition to his club successes, Zanetti has represented the Argentina national team in numerous international competitions, participating in four World Cups and winning the 1991 Copa America and the gold medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.

After retiring from playing football in 2014, Zanetti remained linked to Inter, holding managerial roles and contributing to the development and success of the club. His career and impact on football make him a true legend of the game.
