Spain, 1982. An extraordinary journey guided by football legend Enzo Bearzot. After the three initial draws against Poland, Peru and Cameroon, Italy was placed in Group C together with South American giants Argentina and Brazil.
Two historic performances led Italy to the Semi-Final, where Poland was waiting again. It was once more Pablito Rossi to lead the national team to the Final. The Italy-Germany match took place on July 11, 1982 at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid. Rossi, Tardelli and Altobelli made history. Italy became world champion for the third time.
