Sir Geoff Hurst is a former English professional footballer best known for his heroics during the 1966 FIFA World Cup. Hurst played as a forward and is most famous for his hat-trick in the 1966 World Cup final, which led England to a 4-2 victory against West Germany. His performance in that match remains one of the most iconic moments in English football history. He is the only player to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final to this day. 

Geoff Hurst received significant recognition for his achievements in football and was knighted in 1998 for his services to the sport. He remains an important figure in English football folklore, celebrated for his memorable contributions to the national team's success in the 1966 World Cup.
