Kaws "What Party Doll".

- Vinyl and paint sculpture
- Size: 27.9 x 10.2 cm / 11 x 4 in

Brian Donnelly, currently known by the professional name Kaws, was born in Jersey City in 1974 and had been fascinated by graffiti and the underground scene since he was a teenager. After moving to New York, he graduated from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan in 1996 and began collaborating with Walt Disney, working primarily as an illustrator. His desire to experiment with ever-changing formats and tools allowed him to establish himself first in the world of television, then as a sculptor and street artist, and now as a designer for well-known clothing brands. He is one of the hottest names on the scene and some say his work may eclipse that of the great genius Banksy.

Kaws and his most famous work
It is hard to identify the artist's most famous work given his multifaceted nature but by analyzing what Kaws has achieved in recent years and the echo it has had, Companion must be right up there at the top. Companion is considered to all intents and purposes his best known cartoon character, a perfect mix between Mickey Mouse and a skull, produced in 3D complete with references to Japanese culture.
