Krug Rosé è an unexpected Champagne rosé combining elegance and boldness; inspired by the dream of the fifth generation of the Maison Krug to create a Champagne rosé inspired by the renowned art of the Maison's blending, to be recreated each year.
BlENDING: 58% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay and 17% Meunier.
È a blend of 32 wines from 6 different vintages, the youngest of which dates back to 2016 and the oldest to 2010. The resting period of around 7 years in the Krug cellars gives Krug Rosé 28° Édition a unique expression and elegance.
TASTING NOTES: At first glance, a deep salmon hue promises elegance. On the nose, aromas of orangeade, redcurrant, cherry stone and raspberry jelly. Hints of pastry and lemon meringue prepare the palate. In the mouth, bold red fruits such as raspberry, redcurrant, cherry, blackcurrant, cranberry and goji berry give way to sweeter, softer nuances of crushed peach and strawberry salad with basil. A finish on slightly bitter tones of citrus, grapefruit zest and lime, emphasised by its subtle bubbles.
