Take home this blue Napoli shirt in satin fabric, the match version from a 1988/89 season match, for Argentine legend Diego Armando Maradona.
Also known as "El Pibe de Oro," Maradona is considered one of the greatest footballers of all time, some believe he was the best. Both an idol and an icon in Naples, he played in blue for seven years and won two Scudetti, one Coppa UEFA, one Coppa Italia and a Supercoppa Italiana.
Despite placing second in Serie A behind Inter and losing the Coppa Italia Final against Sampdoria, the 1988/1989 season will always be remembered for the Neapolitan Club's victory of their first International Trophy—the UEFA Cup won in the final match against Stuttgart.
This type of long-sleeved satin fabric shirt was used for a couple of league matches and one UEFA Cup fixture. The MARS logo is in varnish, while the Napoli and NR logos are sewn on, as well as the number sewn on in classic zig zag stitching.
