Miralem Pjanić is a Bosnian footballer with Luxembourg citizenship, midfielder for Sharjah and the Bosnian national team. Raised in Luxembourg, he made his professional debut with Metz. In 2008 he moved to Olympique Lyon, where he established himself as one of the most promising players in European football. In 2011 he joined Roma, where he remained for five seasons, attracting the attention of Juventus, where he played from 2016 to 2020, racking up the greatest achievements of his career with four consecutive Scudetti, two Italian Cups and an Italian Super Cup. In the 2020/21 season he played for Barcelona, winning a King's Cup, while in the following season he played for Beşiktaş, where he triumphed in the Turkish Super Cup. With Bosnia he played the 2014 world championship, the year in which the Balkan national team took part in the competition for the first time in its history.
