Diego Pablo Simeone is an Argentine football coach and former footballer who played as a midfielder, coach of Atlético Madrid. As a footballer, with the clubs he won a Spanish championship, a Copa del Rey, an Italian championship, an Italian Cup, an Italian Super Cup, a UEFA Cup and a UEFA Super Cup. With Argentina he played 3 world championships and 4 America's Cups, winning the 1991 and 1993 editions. As a coach he won the Argentine Primera División twice with Estudiantes (LP) and River Plate and the Spanish Primera División twice with Atlético Madrid (2014 and 2021), with whom he also won a Copa del Rey, a Spanish Super Cup, two UEFA Super Cups and two Europa Leagues, as well as reaching two UEFA Champions League finals.
