Jair Ventura Filho, known as Jairzinho is a Brazilian former footballer and football manager, who played as a midfielder or striker. He became world champion with the Brazilian national team in Mexico 1970. Considered one of the strongest Brazilian players in the history of football, he occupies 27th place in the special ranking of the best footballers of the 20th century published by World Soccer magazine. He is the only player, together with the Uruguayan Alcides Ghiggia, to have scored in all the matches of a World Cup which was won by his national team and, together with Just Fontaine, he holds the record for scoring in the most consecutive matches (6) in history of the competition.
