Roberto Rivellino, better known as Rivelino, is a Brazilian former footballer who played as a midfielder or striker, world champion with the Brazilian national team in 1970. Considered one of the strongest players in football history, he occupies 38th place in the special ranking of the best footballers of the 20th century published by World Soccer magazine and 31st place in the ranking of the best South American footballers of the 20th century published by the IFFHS in 2004. FIFA also placed him in sixth place in the ranking of the best number ten in football history. In March 2004, Pelé also included him in the list of the 125 best living footballers, compiled on the occasion of the FIFA centenary.
