The Family House "Our Lady of Providence" of the Pope John XXIII Community is located in Giarre, a small town in the province of Catania. Here Raffella and her husband Mario chose to open their home to those who needed a family: boys from prison, children and people with disabilities. Now there are 14 in the house, including their natural children, sharing with them the vocation of being a family for those who are alone. In Raffaella and Mario's home, children with severe disabilities that no one wanted have become adults, surrounded by the love that only a family can give.

A typical day at the "Our Lady of Providence" family home is no different from that of many families -- some go to work, some to school, some to the day care center. With 14 people, there are many trips to make, and to make them you need an adequate and reliable vehicle. Raffaella and Mario's Family Home urgently needs to buy a new bus because theirs, after 300,000 km and 20 years of use has broken down.

20,000 euros are needed to help this family, and the Pope John XXIII Community, which already has to take care of the needs of more than 500 other shelters, cannot meet this expense at this time. A proper minibus is essential for the daily life of the home and to allow the whole family to go out all together, sharing special moments.
