原因

An important project proposed by the Carlo Enrico Giulini Foundation is 'Music and Reading... We are part of the cure'.

The project, implemented in the Microcitemico Children's Hospital in Cagliari, aims to accompany the child with his or her parents in the various stages of his or her therapeutic journey: a true complementary therapy.

Numerous musical instruments, played with Dr. Maria Grazia Corrias, and a suitcase full of books read together with Dr. Ornella Aledda and able to evoke experiences and emotions, enable the young patients to face and process the experience of the disease, fostering a better acceptance of it.

Through music therapy and psycho-reading, the project encourages the construction of an affective and reassuring bond, within a relationship of trust built day after day, giving voice to the free expression of thoughts and states of mind.

In nine years of activity, more than 600 patients have been taken care of, 80% with haemato-oncological pathologies, in day hospital and in-patient regimes, the remaining 20% in the Thalassaemia, Bone Marrow Transplant Centre and Paediatric Clinic wards.
