The CONMEBOL medal presented to former striker Romário de Souza Faria, known as Romário, celebrating Brazil's victory in the 1989 Copa América.
The thirty-fourth edition of the top South American tournament for national football teams, held in Brazil, saw the Seleção beat Uruguay in the final match at the Maracanã stadium, winning the trophy for the fourth time in its history and 40 years after its last victory in the competition.
The item comes from Romário's own private collection complete with a letter of provenance signed by his daughter Mônica de Souza Carvalho Faria.
