Andy Warhol
American painter, graphic artist, filmmaker, and founder of the pop art movement Andy Warhol also made films. He began his work as a promotional article illustrator. Later, he rose to fame on a global scale as a painter, experimental film director, and The Velvet Underground's manager. He has been in a number of biographical and factual movies. In 1991, a museum honoring his creative output debuted close to the hometown of his parents in Medzilaborce. Three years later, a new museum in his hometown of Pittsburgh opened.
