About the artist
Matteo Fieno, born in Piedmont in 1981, is known as "the women's artist" for his ability to interpret the female figure with sensitivity and poetry.
In 2018 he decided to dedicate himself full time to his artistic research, immediately receiving considerable acclaim: after the exhibition of his first paintings at the Milan Biennale, presented and curated by Vittorio Sgarbi, he held a solo exhibition at the Milan Art Gallery in November 2019 and 2020 presented the exhibition Quel Pazzo 2020. In 2021, the Bolognese exhibition Le Ragazze di Madame Odette e Le Ballerine di Carta was hosted at Palazzo Burgos - Fossano Musica Foundation, followed by the solo exhibition Sense of Beauty at Castello Rosso in Costigliole Saluzzo in 2022.
In recent years, he has increasingly displayed his works in collective exhibitions in Italy and abroad, from the Galerie Thuillier in Paris and the BCM art Gallery in Barcelona to the Gonzaga Museum in Mantua.
Among his collaborations, the most important work was with the Monumental Complex of Sant'Anna dei Lombardi in Naples which resulted in the Virtus, Virtutis exhibition.
His personal exhibitions are accompanied by a catalogue/diary complete with stories and reflections to accompany each work, giving life to real dialogues between art and literature.
