This ‘el clasico’ pre-season game took place in Miami, USA and was essentially Neymar Jr.’s farewell tour. FC Barcelona won the game 3-2, and Neymar Jr. had quite a few infights with Real Madrid player Dani Carvajal throughout the game. Neymar joined Barcelona in 2013 as the most sought-after talent in the world of football at the age of 21. The previous season he had scored 43 goals in 47 appearances for his boyhood club Santos.
He stayed with Barcelona for four seasons, where he formed a formidable trio with fellow South Americans Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi called ‘MSN’. Neymar made 186 appearances for Barcelona and scored 105 goals. His best personal season was 2014/15, when he scored 39 goals in 51 games. During his time at Barcelona, Neymar won La Liga twice, Copa del Rey three times, and Champions League once.
