Pelé was a Brazilian striker who is often said to be the greatest player ever. He began his professional playing career at the tender age of 15, and before he was 18 he had won many major accolades and had attracted the attention of football fans all over the world.
His 77 goals for Brazil makes him their highest all-time goalscorer even after all these years, and he also owns a number of trophies and holds a number records that no one has broken. Pelé only ever played for two clubs as a professional, and he spent most of that time with Santos, the team that signed him as a youngster. But he made enough of an impact for Brazil to ensure his legendary status.
