This lot is a framed 24 carat gold plated vinyl LP (By Numbers) and 10 x 8" photograph, autographed by Pete Townshend of The Who.
The Who are an English rock band founded in 1964 in London. Lead singer Roger Daltrey, guitarist and singer Pete Townshend, bass guitarist and singer John Entwistle, and drummer Keith Moon comprised their classic lineup. They are regarded as one of the most influential rock bands of the twentieth century, with over 100 million records sold worldwide.
Their contributions to rock music include the development of the Marshall Stack, large PA systems, the use of synthesizers, the influential playing styles of Entwistle and Moon, Townshend's feedback and power chord guitar technique, and the development of the rock opera.
