Best known for his TV shows Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere, he began his comedy career in 1996, winning countless awards for his stand-up before launching That Peter Kay Thing in 1999. Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights then followed in 2001, firmly establishing his place as a household name. He has also headlined his own sold-out shows and tours across the UK, including 2009's The Tour That Doesn't Tour Tour...Now On Tour...!, that Guinness World Records recognised as the most successful stand-up run in the world.
