Plaxico Burress is a former American football wide receiver who played in the National Football League for 12 seasons. He attended Michigan State and was drafted eighth overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2000 NFL Draft.
He was a dynamic receiver for the Steelers and Giants in the 2000s. Burress will be remembered for a self-inflicted gunshot wound that forced him to miss the rest of the 2008 season.
