Bid on a one-off piece of art painted by Pure Evil on the soundboard of one of the most iconic acoustic guitars ever created, the legendary Gibson J45.

This unique artwork was inspired by the song "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," a true masterpiece in its own right.

The artwork was created for NO STRINGS ATTACHED, an artistic project featuring over fifteen famous musicians and performers.

Pure Evil

Pure Evil has come a long way from vampire-toothed bunnies, hastily scrawled onto walls around cities at every corner of the globe, but his work continues to live up to iconic expectations. Riffing off Warhol’s famous screen prints of Marilyn Monroe, Pure Evil carries the torch of Pop Art into the twenty-first century, creating a new range of printed celebrity portraits, each one oozing a black tear as they face their own nightmare. From Monroe to Obama (and even Warhol himself!) Pure Evil has proven himself the unrivalled successor of pop portraiture.

Additional Details:

  • Original artwork by Pure Evil on the wooden soundboard (faceplate) of a Gibson J-45 acoustic guitar
  • This item is framed alongside a Gibson J-45 scratchplate, hand-signed by Pure Evil.

Note: the item includes the framed soundboard and scratchplate only, not the entire guitar.
